21 Hal yang Membanggakan Indonesia Di Mata Dunia

Info ini bisa membangkitkan nilai nasionalisme kita. Karena ternyata di tengah-tengah ‘kemirisan’ yang dihadapi terhadap bangsa ini, Indonesia memiliki banyak sekali kelebihan yang sayang untuk dibiarkan begitu saja, kelebihan itu yaitu :

1.Republik Indonesia merupakan Negara kepulauan terbesar di dunia

yang terdiri dari 17.504 pulau (termasuk 9.634 pulau yang belum diberi nama dan 6.000 pulau yang tidak berpenghuni) . Disini ada 3 dari 6 pulau terbesar didunia, yaitu : Kalimantan (pulau terbesar ketiga di dunia dgn luas 539.460 km2), Sumatera (473.606 km2) dan Papua (421.981 km2).

2. Indonesia adalah Negara maritim terbesar di dunia

dengan perairan seluas 93 ribu km2 dan panjang pantai sekitar 81 ribu km2 atau hampir 25% panjang pantai di dunia.

3. Pulau Jawa adalah pulau terpadat di dunia dimana sekitar 60% hampir penduduk Indonesia (sekitar 130 jt jiwa) tinggal di pulau yang luasnya hanya 7% dari seluruh wilayah RI.

* Indonesia merupakan Negara dengan suku bangsa yang terbanyak di dunia. Terdapat lebih dari 740 suku bangsa/etnis, dimana di Papua saja terdapat 270 suku.

4. Negara dengan bahasa daerah yang terbanyak,
yaitu, 583 bahasa dan dialek dari 67 bahasa induk yang digunakan berbagai suku bangsa di Indonesia. Bahasa nasional adalah bahasa Indonesia walaupun bahasa daerah dengan jumlah pemakai terbanyak di Indonesia adalah bahasa Jawa.

5. Monumen Budha (candi) terbesar di dunia

adalah Candi Borobudur di Jawa Tengah dengan tinggi 42 meter (10 tingkat) dan panjang relief lebih dari 1 km. Diperkirakan dibuat selama 40 tahun oleh Dinasti Syailendra pada masa kerajaan Mataram Kuno (750-850).

6. Tempat ditemukannya manusia purba tertua di dunia,

yaitu : Pithecanthropus Erectus yang diperkirakan berasal dari 1,8 juta tahun yang lalu.

7.Republik Indonesia adalah Negara pertama yang lahir sesudah berakhirnya Perang Dunia II pada tahun 1945. RI merupakan Negara ke 70 tertua di dunia.

8.Indonesia adalah Negara pertama (hingga kini satu-satunya) yang pernah keluar dari Perserikatan Bangsa Bangsa (PBB)

pada tgl 7 Januari 1965. RI bergabung kembali ke dalam PBB pada tahun 1966.

9.Tim bulutangkis Indonesia adalah yang terbanyak merebut lambing supremasi bulutangkis pria, Thomas Cup, yaitu sebanyak 13 x (pertama kali th 1958 & terakhir 2002).

10. Indonesia adalah penghasil gas alam cair (LNG) terbesar di dunia

(20% dari suplai seluruh dunia) juga produsen timah terbesar kedua.


11. Indonesia menempati peringkat 1 dalam produk pertanian,

yaitu : cengkeh (cloves) & pala (nutmeg), serta no.2 dalam karet alam (Natural Rubber) dan minyak sawit mentah (Crude Palm Oil).

12. Indonesia adalah pengekspor terbesar kayu lapis
(plywood), yaitu sekitar 80% di pasar dunia.

13. Terumbu Karang (Coral Reef) Indonesia adalah yang terkaya (18% dari total dunia)

14. Indonesia memiliki species ikan hiu terbanyak didunia yaitu 150 species.

15. Biodiversity Anggrek terbeser didunia :

6 ribu jenis anggrek, mulai dari yang terbesar (Anggrek Macan atau Grammatophyllum Speciosum) sampai yang terkecil (Taeniophyllum, yang tidak berdaun), termasuk Anggrek Hitam yang langka dan hanya terdapat di Papua.

16. Memiliki hutan bakau terbesar di dunia.
Tanaman ini bermanfaat ntuk mencegah pengikisan air laut/abrasi.

17. Binatang purba yang masih hidup

: Komodo yang hanya terdapat di pulau Komodo, NTT adalah kadal terbesar di dunia. Panjangnya bias mencapai 3 meter dan beratnya 90 kg.

18. Rafflesia Arnoldi yang tumbuh di Sumatera adalah bunga terbesar di dunia.
Ketika bunganya mekar, diameternya mencapai 1 meter.

19. Memiliki primata terkecil di dunia ,

yaitu Tarsier Pygmy (Tarsius Pumilus) atau disebut juga Tarsier Gunung yang panjangnya hanya 10 cm. Hewan yang mirip monyet dan hidupnya diatas pohon ini terdapat di Sulawesi.

20. Tempat ditemukannya ular terpanjang di dunia
yaitu, Python Reticulates sepanjang 10 meter di Sulawesi.

21.Ikan terkecil di dunia

yang ditemukan baru-baru ini di rawa-rawa berlumpur Sumatera. Panjang 7,9 mm ketika dewasa atau kurang lebih sebesar nyamuk. Banyak kan kelebihannya? tinggal cara mengolah dan memeliharanya saja yang harus di dukung dengan kepercayaan diri yang hebat untuk memakai produk kita sendiri.

Bleeding Tooth Fungus

The bleeding tooth fungus looks kind of like a wad of chewing gum that leaks blood like a rejected prop from The Shining.

They're also called the strawberries and cream, the red-juice tooth, and the devil's tooth. Whoever is in charge of naming scary bullshit seems really insistent that this thing looks like a tooth, while mostly skirting over the fact that it freaking sweats blood.

Oh, and they are listed as "inedible," which implies that someone attempted to eat one at some point. On the other hand, the bloodlike substance has anticoagulant and antibacterial properties. It's nature's next penicillin! All you have to do is lick it. Go ahead.

Chinese Black Batflowers

There's a good reason that Batman uses bat imagery to strike terror into the hearts of Gotham's criminals, rather than, say, some kind of shrew. Bats are freakin' scary. For the same reason, nature has decided to use that same mold to make plants that can induce spontaneous bowel movements, with the addition of some tentacles just to be sure, like we have on the Chinese black batflowers.

It is kept as an ornamental plant by gardeners who prefer to cultivate nightmares, and have the balls to live in the presence of a plant that looks like it crawled out of a Bosch painting and wants to plant its young in their head.

Oh, sorry that last one was an actual bat. Though you can't tell the difference until you get to the bottom, by which point it's far too late.

Doll's Eye

At best, this thing looks like the plants you'd find on some hostile alien world. At worst, it looks like eyeballs on bloody stalks, tied together by their stems like the deranged trophy of some serial killer, used to mark the grave of half a dozen victims.
It's called the doll's eye plant, also known by the equally unsettling name "white baneberry." Just in case you were actually thinking of eating this thing, those eyeballs are highly poisonous. Obviously.

Sea Anemone Mushroom/Octopus Stinkhorn

We tend to think that pretty much all fungi came out of God's adolescent goth phase. Sure, some mushrooms look cute and taste good on pizza, but many of them look more like the dog-beast from The Thing and smell like a rotten asshole. For instance, we have the sea anemone mushroom above and the similar-yet-horrifying-in-a-different-way octopus stinkhorn below:

Both are closely related and smell about as pleasant as they look. Would you believe both are from Australia? We weren't surprised either.

We're pretty sure that Australia sits right next to Cthulhu's sunken city of R'Lyeh.

They start out looking like traditional Mario-style 'shrooms, but that's just so they can gain your trust. Once they mature, they "erupt" their red tentacles of smelly horror to attract flies, which then transport their "gleba" to another location to reproduce, which is about the closest thing to the plot of a Lovecraft story that you'll find in reality.

Seriously, Hugh Jackman is cool and all, but fuck Australia.

Devil's Claw

Devil's claws are kind of like those little thistle burs that get stuck to your clothes when you walk through a field, except instead of being tiny, mild annoyances, they look more like some unholy spider beast from some twisted American McGee version of our childhood. They come from Arizona, where they are used by Native Americans to weave baskets and likely as a ward for enemies who are probably smart enough to stay the fuck away from anything that looks like a minefield of headcrabs:

The horrifying seed pods are designed to latch on to the feet of passing animals, which will then transport them to another location before crushing them underfoot and releasing the seeds.

Funny how nature knew people would stomp the shit out of that after finding it on their feet; evolution is kind of intuitive sometimes.

Porcupine Tomato

The porcupine tomato is one of the crops you'll find growing in Pinhead's vegetable patch after he retires from abstract horror and turns to horticulture. It hails from Madagascar, the island nation that brought us the Hellbeast lemur and Dracula ants, earning it the Cracked.com nickname "Little Australia."

Quick, take a picture of the word "pain." Good job.

Aside from being sharp and poisonous, the porcupine tomato is a potentially invasive species, since it is difficult to kill, even in drought. Among the features you don't want in a poisonous dagger monster, "hard to kill" has to be way up there.

Did we mention that it spreads quickly, and can reach 8 feet tall by 8 feet wide in a relatively short amount of time? What we're saying is that you should be careful stepping out your front door in the morning, because you never know when a toxic, razor-filled hedge may have sprung up in the middle of the night.

Cedar-Apple Rust Fungus

What looks like a piece of rotting fruit giving birth to either a family of worms or a single, tentatcled horror? If you said "cedar-apple rust fungus," then ... well, you probably just read the title of this entry, we guess.

CARF is a fungal infection that attacks, you guessed it, cedar and apple trees. It produces globular fungal balls anywhere from a 1/4 inch to 2 inches in diameter and inflates "spore horns" when the weather gets wet, transforming it into the Koosh ball from hell. Or, if you prefer, gummi Cthulhu.

Or what happens when slugs mate with mac and cheese.

Buddha's Hand

We don't know what kind of Buddha they were thinking of whose hand looks like a writhing ball of giant maggots. It looks more like what Brian Lumley envisions when his wife asks him to pick up a bushel of grapefruit.

Buddha's hand is a citrus fruit popular in China and Japan for its strong fragrance. It fails as a fruit since it's pretty much all zest and no pulp, but it has other uses, such as being a feature in Stephen King's fruit basket centerpiece.

Berikut adalah tanaman yang unik di alam semesta kita, namun saking unik dan langkanya, bentuknya terlihat menyeramkan, tetapi masih segar bila dipandang.

Adalah jenis tumbuhan perangkap yang bisa melekat ke pakaian Anda ketika Anda berjalan melaluinya, meskipun kecil tetap terlihat mengganggu, karen terlihat lebih seperti beberapa binatang laba-laba.

Tanaman ini dari Arizona, di mana mereka digunakan oleh penduduk pribumi untuk menenun keranjang. Tanaman jenis ini dirancang untuk mengait pada kaki hewan yang lewat, yang kemudian akan menghisap binatang yang terjebak kedalam tanah dan menghancurkannya sebelum tanaman ini memproduksi biji-bijian lalu melepaskanya dipermukaan


6. Porcupine Tomato (Tomat Landak)

Tanaman ini berasal dari Madagaskar, julukannya Little Australia. Selain duri yang tajam dan beracun, tomat landak adalah spesies yang berpotensi invasif, karena sulit untuk mati, bahkan dalam kekeringan.

Tanaman ini menyebar cepat, dan dapat mencapai tinggi 8 meter, dalam jumlah yang relatif singkat.


7.Cedar-Apple Rust Fungus (Cedar-Apel Jamur Karat)

CARF adalah infeksi jamur yang menyerang cedar dan pohon apel. Ia dapat menghasilkan bola jamur globular di mana saja dari 1/4 inci sampai 2 inci dengan diameter dan kantung "tanduk spora" ketika cuaca basah, mengubahnya menjadi seperti bola Koosh dari neraka.


8. Buddha's Hand (Tangan Buddha)

Tangan Buddha adalah buah jeruk yang populer di Cina dan Jepang dengan aroma yang kuat. Sering dijadikan bahan makanan.
